That gives you more information about the world and makes it more immersive. A lot of text comments describing various objects around you in each screen. It doesn't feel heavy and cumbersome like many of the point and click adventures. Characters walks fast, you can cancel their actions or skip dialogues and double click takes you to the next screen. It has inspiring, discreet sense humor that manages to balance perfectly all the initial darkness. Great, mostly blues, music that fits perfectly to the noir vibes and enhances the atmosphere. Awesome, emotional voice acting performances that sound natural. Also, it puts you in front of some ethical dilemmas and your decisions affect later stages of the game. You choose your companions before each mission, which slightly affects some puzzles' solution. Initially you pick name and clan and this affects some of your answers and abilities. It has a few RPG elements, which is unique for an old style point and click adventure. Puzzles could be more imaginative and challenging though. It's great that you can control your companions and their abilities. There are some scattered cool mechanics during puzzles and a few clever solutions. ![]() All these creatures and ghosts that you meet have small stories which come together nicely creating a bigger picture. The lore is great as they have built a whole new universe. Storytelling is even better with good pace that takes you back and forth in time via flashbacks. Story gets extravagant at some points but it's full of mystery, twists and emotional moments. I liked that a lot of non mandatory dialogues with your companions you offer you extra information about themselves and the city. Well written dialogues make you want to explore all the available conversations. You can easily get emotionally attached to them. They have vivid personalities and rich backstories. Strong, noir atmosphere that reminds me of some vintage, mystery films in a darker, eerie version. Some of its screens are just pieces of art. Nice 2d, pixel visuals with a lot of details and various locations. Yet, puzzles could be more imaginative and challenging, while the story could avoid some over the top parts and a few cliche moments. Gorgeous visuals, nice music, awesome voice acting, well written dialogues, inspiring humor and some clever gameplay mechanics complete a solid experience.
